Just Friends - Naoki's Reply to Chyou ^^

Naoki and I have finally finished his response to Chyou from Just Friends. So~o...

Lauren: You ready to introduce yourself to Chyou, Nao-kun?
Naoki: Yes.
Lauren: All right, whenever you're ready.

Naoki: Hi, Chyou! It's Naoki. I'm very sorry it took me so long to reply to you! How's everything? I hope you're doing good. ^^

Naoki: *shifts* I'm really glad we were paired up to be friends. I guess the idea is a little strange, like you said, but I LOVE making new friends and meeting new people. Er, I hope you don't mind me saying any of this; Lauren says I can be blunt and a bit overwhelming, but... it's been a little difficult to make many friends around here, just because I haven't been living in America long. I was in Japan before, and I loved it, but it's nice to have a little bit of a family now. Um... I'm not sure whether talking about my family situation would be considered me being too open or not, so I'm going to change the subject. But - don't ever hesitate to ask me anything or talk to me about anything you want; there's really nothing I mind talking about, and Ren says I'm a very good listener.

Naoki: You collect keys? That's really interesting! I've never really been able to collect anything. Maybe someday though. And I think it'd be fun to go outside! Lauren's only brought me out once, when she was going to a doctor, (she's afraid for my skin) but she says that as soon as she can make me something nice to wear she's going to take me to the park with one of her friends. I'm really looking foward to it. =) Other than that, I like baking a lot. ^^ It's also really fun to model the clothes Lauren does manage to -

Naoki: *moves back onto the hammock* Kitties! This is the kitty Lauren bought for me. I've had a bit of trouble naming her, but I think I've decided on a name. So, from now on, she'll be Cheesecake.

... Yeah, so I'm a dork. I looked all over for an Easter basket for Naoki, and I finally found one about a week ago at Joanns. In case anyone's wondering, there's a mini stuffed bunny and a choker in there for him. ^^

I have now had Naoki here with me for a week now. ^^ I've been hand-sewing like crazy and have generally been busier than I've been in weeks - which is actually a very good thing. I HAD been planning on letting Naoki have his first photostory posted up today, but we've had some crappy weather and there's been no natural light - it'd been cloudy and darkish. AND I still need to sew the pants I'm making for him. So instead of his photostory, Naoki figured he'd just do a bit of typing instead. ^^'

Naoki: Uh... hi. *blinks* I guess I've been in America with Lauren for a week now, though the time has really flown by, and I haven't fully adjusted to living here yet. It's a little weird, but I think I'll get used to it - it'll just take a little time. Lauren's been nice to me, and I think she's trying to do the best she can - she can't afford a lot, but she did manage to bring home two pairs of shoes for me and has done a LOT of sewing in the past week. I actually have a proper pair of boxers now! (I'm not at all opposed to the manties - but we are in New York and it is fairly cold, so it's nice to have something that gives my bum a little extra warmth.) She cut the fabric for a regular pair of pants last night too, and she says we'll try making me socks again soon.

I've been a little lonely, since I don't really know anyone yet, but I've managed to meet a few cool people. I hope that I'll get to become friends with them. They're all a bit older than me, but the age difference isn't big and it doesn't really seem to matter to them. So far I've gotten to talk to Malach, James, and Frayne. :)

... But wow. Lauren's took me on DoA a bit, and it seems like so many people around my age are in relationships. And I'm not... horridly pure or anything *squirms* ~~just mostly~~ but that's not something I'm used to being around. Relationships were discouraged back in my old home because it was run by some people who... were paranoid we'd go the way of our parents and engage in babymakin'. I've been doing a lot of thinking though, and ~~I'm not sure~~ ~~I don't know~~ ~~I don't think~~ ... hell. I'm not sure I'm linear. Which Lauren says is perfectly fine and which I think is perfectly fine but - I guess I'm just apprehensive. And I'm not sure. And I'd like to be sure. And it's annoying and confusing. >.< RAWR.

BUT! Grandpa went out with Lauren a few days ago, and he bought beads that match my eyes for Lauren to make me a cool bracelet with. Grandpa's a pretty cool dude, I think. He even makes sure to keep his two puppies away from me - because they'd eat me. Srsly.

My DollZone Xi finally arrived! After numerous problems with him being shipped out and contacting the company I bought him from, I'd been so worried that he wasn't ever going to get here, but he arrived yesterday! Of course, I had to literally chase the postman halfway down the block in my pajamas and socks because he initially forgot that he'd be delivering my box to me - and accidentally left it in the truck parked down the block. But! Thankfully I got the notice that we missed him the day before, and I'd been sitting by the window since 10am, just in case the postman got there early, so when he finally got there at 4pm (my regular postman delivers before noon, but he took the day off, I guess)... I was ready. That poor man. xD

So~o, without further ado -

Apparently, LaiDoll included not only the Santa suit and extra wig that they promised as part of the Christmas Special, but a doll stand, a pair of boots that... are way to big for any 1/4th doll, and another wig that looks just like the second one they included, but perhaps it's bigger? o.0 I dunno.

The bubblewrap is untapped; now I've just got to untie the pillows!

Wig #2.

After this shoot I tried standing him up, and I managed it twice last night. He's kicky and doesn't like it at all when you turn his left leg out at all for a pose - but I love him anyway. <3

Anddd we figured out his name today. It's Naoki. =)
